Making Your Appointment Please call (225) 769-0933 at your convenience and one of our office staff will make your appointment.   Cancellations If you are unable to keep your appointment, please try to notify our office 24 hours in advance.   Emergencies All of our on-call physicians are board certified.  One of our physicians is available for your medical needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Please call (225) 769-0933 for assistance.   Patient Registration If you are a new patient, you will have a brief interview with a staff member.  She will explain the procedures which may be ordered by the physicians, as well as explain insurance information.  At each visit, we ask that all patients please remember to bring with them all of their medications.   Prescription Refills Routine prescription refills WILL NOT be given after office hours or on weekends.  All requests for refills should be called during regular office hours so that your medical records are available for the physician to review.  Narcotics, pain pills, tranquilizers and sleeping pills WILL NOT be called in after hours or past 3 P.M. on Friday afternoons.   Telephone Calls All calls to the physician will initially be handled by his nurse.  This allows minimal interruptions when seeing patients.  The patient's chart will have to be obtained prior to the physician returning your call so that your problem can be handled properly.  Please tell the nurse if you feel your problem is an emergency.  If not an emergency, please leave a number where you might be reached later as routine calls are sometimes returned several hours later.   Hospitals The physicians in this clinic practice at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Columbia Medical Center.  For after hours emergency care, we request that you go to Our Lady of the Lake if at all possible.   Clinic Policy Our practice is limited to the specialty of Cardiology.  If you were referred by another physician, we will send a detailed report of our findings and recommendations to that physician.  We feel that you, the patient, benefit most by a working relationship between your personal physician and your heart specialist.   Patient Resources If you experience any problems with our service or have any special needs, please feel free to contact:   Kenneth R.
