Baton Rouge Cardiology Center to Host Inaugural Topgolf Fundraiser

All net proceeds to benefit the local American Heart Association

BATON ROUGE, La. – Baton Rouge Cardiology Center will host its inaugural Topgolf Fundraiser tournament on Sunday, September 8, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Topgolf Baton Rouge, with all net proceeds benefiting the Capital Area American Heart Association (AHA), a local non-profit organization.  The fundraising event is intended to raise awareness and financial support for AHA’s mission of saving people from heart disease and stroke – the two leading causes of death in the world.

“Sponsor a team of six together or come alone – we promise you’ll have a good time playing at Topgolf,” said Dr. Lance LaMotte, interventional cardiologist at Baton Rouge Cardiology Center.  “Topgolf is new to Baton Rouge and is so much fun!  Everyone – from physicians and staff to patients, friends, family and the general public – are invited to what is sure to be a great event.”

“We are grateful for our relationship with Baton Rouge Cardiology Center, a long-time supporter of the local American Heart Association,” said Kerin Spears, vice president of the Greater Louisiana American Heart Association.  “We are excited to be a part of this unique opportunity they are bringing to the community, and anticipate Topgolf fundraising to become an annual event in the Capital Area.”

Tickets include two games of Topgolf, buffet and golf pro instruction.  Additionally, spectator tickets are available for those wishing to still partake in the food and fun.  No golf skills are needed.
