At Baton Rouge Cardiology Center, our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) – including Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) – are valued members of your cardiovascular care team. Working in close collaboration with our cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, and electrophysiologists, they help provide timely, comprehensive, and personalized care to our patients.
APPs are highly trained healthcare professionals who evaluate patients, diagnose and treat medical conditions, prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans. They also play an important role in preventive care, patient education, chronic disease management, and helping patients navigate their heart health journey.
You may see an APP for routine follow-up visits, medication management, hospital follow-up appointments, preventive cardiovascular care, or urgent concerns that require prompt attention.
