Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

This most often depends on your individual insurance plan. Some plans require a referral from your primary care provider/family doctor for cardiovascular care. Check with your insurance company or talk to your doctor to know for sure.

What insurances do you accept?

Baton Rouge Cardiology Center accepts most major health plans. You can find the complete list of insurances we accept here. If your insurance plan is not included on that list, contact one of our insurance specialists at (225) 769-0933. We will confirm your insurance information when you register for an appointment.

Will I have a co-payment?

Your co-payment information should be listed on your insurance card. Please bring your insurance card with you to every visit to ensure we have the most up-to-date information about your health insurance coverage. If co-payment information is not listed on your card, call your insurance company to ask if one is required.
